What a weekend

My daughter went to spend the weekend with a freind of hers, so Hubby and I thought we was going to have date weekend. Didn’t turn out that way thou Our town ended up flooding 90% is under water we spent 90% of our weekend with out electricity. and worried sick about our daughter. We was very blessed thou the only thing that happened to our house is the basement is now flooded. Most places all you see is the tops of the houses and some tops of cars its a real nightmare. I will feel so much better when I have my daughter back with us. We are going to try to go pick her up today the roads to get to her yesterday was flooded and some places on highway was mudslides we did get to talk to her on the phone thou last night besides being scared as any ten year old awaywould be, shes fine. ith everything going on I didnt do to bad on my eating but there was no exercise for me all this weekend. Im going to try to bring my treadmill up from basement and pray that it still works it should all the electrical stuff on it is dry. Sorry to go on about all this just really missing my daughter. Well I hope everybody has a wonderful week. Im going to step up my exercise and tone down on snacking this week and hopefully I will hit my weekly goal of three pounds.

Just had my first weekly weigh in yesterday. I was down three pounds which was great since I made some very bad food choices.  This week is a new week thou and a chance for me to make better choices.  My doctor has me on a low carb meal plan because of my diebetes which is hard because thats my weakness popcorn, chips and any thing to do with potatoes and pastas. I am not real big on sweets so giving up sugar was really not a problem. Never thought of carbs as bad thou. every time i tried watching how i ate that was what I choose lean meats and low fat or fat free carbs but because they turn to sugar in your system  :( now i have to try something different.   But thanks to this site and the people who are on it I have  some menus  that look really good thank you. This site is so great its nice to have people who understand what your going thru because they are struggling with the same stuff you are.

DAY TWO

Todays not been to bad, I weighed in this morning down two pounds. I know its just water but I’ll take it. Not started any kind of exercise yet.(yikes) I think instead of making it out to be something scary and boring, Summer breaks at the end of this month and Im going to make it fun and enjoy the summer with my daughter. Swimming, playing basketball taking bike rides and hit the trails with her and the dog. I had set out planning half an hour to an hour on the treadmill but cant get myself motivated to do it . I think my progress will go further if im enjoying it and not really thinking of it as exercise.
